The Green Party of New Jersey’s annual convention is on May 4th, 2024. We are excited to reveal the “GREEN 13” Candidate Slate, welcome Ben Burgis, elect new leadership, hear reports, introduce bylaw amendments and vote for our presidential nominee.

10:00 – 10:30am – Registration and assistance for those needing to secure their Electronic Presidential Ballot. Opening remarks and introductions by GPNJ leadership and by those virtually attending.
10:30 – 11:15am – “Green 13” candidate slate introductions wrapping with Christina Khalil, GPNJ U.S. Senate Candidate
11:15 – 11:50am – National Presidential Candidates Presentations – Live in-person or remotely via Zoom.
11:50 – 12:35pm – Keynote Guest Speaker: Ben Burgis introduced by GPNJ Co-Founder Steve Welzer.
Ben is a Jacobin columnist, an adjunct philosophy professor at Rutgers University, and the host of the YouTube show and podcast “Give Them An Argument.” He’s the author of several books, most recently Christopher Hitchens: What He Got Right, How He Went Wrong, and Why He Still Matters.

1:35 – 2:20pm – Campaign School 101/201 Hosted by Elections Chair Barry Bendar and Steve Welzer.
2:20 – 2:50pm – Yearly reports from officers, county liaisons, caucuses and our national delegates. Elections for new officers – state co-chairs, treasurer, secretary, two GPUS delegates and two alternates to represent us with national.
2:50 – 3:00pm – Break and final time to cast Electronic GPNJ Presidential Nominee Candidate ballot.
3:00 – 3:15pm – Results of RCV Electronic Ballot for GPNJ Presidential Nomination and winner remarks.
3:15 – 4:00pm – Introductions of proposed bylaws changes, amendments and vote.
4:00 pm – Closing remarks

The GPNJ Annual Convention is free for all to attend! Party Affiliated Registered and Dues Paying Greens must request their Electronic Presidential Candidate Nomination Ballot through this link! All votes will end on May 4th at 3pm ET!
