Independent Candidates For US Senate in NJ Hold Debate

After being excluded from any official debate discussions, the 3 independent candidates for US Senate held their own debate on the evening of October 14th. Featured was the Green Party of NJ’s own Madelyn Hoffman. They covered topics from banking reform, to space exploration, to the Green New Deal. The Republican and Democratic candidates were invited. The Republican had a previous commitment and the Democratic candidate never responded.

The 3 candidates held widely different views on some subjects, but the tone was civil and could serve as an example of how adults debate in a year when debates can sound more like children on the school yard than community leaders.
