Jill Stein is on the NJ ballot for November!

It’s official! Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein is on the NJ ballot for November.

New Jersey residents will have the option of voting for Jill Stein for president on Tuesday, November 8th, thanks to a petition signed by registered voters throughout the state. The Green Party of New Jersey (GPNJ) organized a petition drive conducted by their members and new volunteers - including Bernie Sanders supporters - who collected a total of 2506 signatures. The GPNJ has succeeded in gaining ballot access in New Jersey for the Green Party’s presidential candidate each election cycle since their first petition drive in 1996. These candidates were Ralph Nader in 1996 and 2000, David Cobb in 2004, Cynthia McKinney in 2008, and Jill Stein in 2012 and 2016.

Jill Stein is a mother, organizer, physician, and environmental-health advocate. Since the 1990s, she has worked successfully with local communities to enact and preserve policies that protect their environments from toxic waste. Stein has helped lead successful organizations, legislation, and ballot initiatives to promote campaign finance reform, grassroots democracy, accessible healthcare, renewable energy, and labor rights. She also served on the board of directors of Physicians for Social Responsibility.

Stein’s running mate is Ajamu Baraka, an internationally recognized human rights activist, organizer, and geopolitical analyst. Baraka has founded and served on the boards of several national and international human rights organizations.

The Stein/Baraka ticket promotes putting “people, planet, and peace over profit.”
