Parsippany -- The Green Party of New Jersey condemns NJ Legislature's passage of Bill S1923. Our elected officials have voted to bring back blacklists which single people out for their political opinions and punish people for what they say and believe.

The Green Party of New Jersey which advocates and defends political protest and constitutional rights hereby condemns the NJ State Legislature for its passage of Bill S1923 - legislation which poses a threat to free speech and free association by punishing companies for their political opinions.

The legislation mandates government investigations into people’s beliefs to determine if their reasons for not doing business with Israel are political and punishes people for holding unpopular opinions, stifling constitutionally protected speech.

“This bill singles people out for punishment based on their political opinions and beliefs, and that raises significant First Amendment concerns,” said ACLU-NJ Executive Director Udi Ofer.

The Green Party of New Jersey believes in direct participation by all citizens in the environmental, political, and economic decisions that affect their lives and  we work to increase public participation at all levels of government.

If we don't fight back, we have zero chance at winning
