No Spray Coalition Court Case
This is the appeal to a higher Court of Judge Martin's decision last year to limit to the Clean Water Act our lawsuit against NYC's indiscriminate spraying of toxic pesticides over people and the environment.  The case still continues under the Clean Water Act.

The Coalition still needs around $15,000 more QUICKLY to move the lawsuit forward. Please send whatever you can spare -- even $5 helps, although $500 helps a lot more at the moment -- to:

Please make every effort to attend the press conference to kick-off Moratorium Week on Monday, May 14th at noon on the steps of the statehouse in Trenton.  Speakers include Senator Jon Corzine, Assemblyman Al Steele, and David Kaczynski.  Please bring your friends.  The Senate is in session that day and the press will be there so we need to show how much our organization has grown!  I have attached a flyer on the event -please feel free to circulate it.

Please remember to let us know how you are particpating in Moratorium Week.  Email Lois Seeligsohn at wordassoc@att.net with your activities - bell tolling, prayer services, sermons, speaking events, petition signing, etc.  Try to let Lois know within the next week or so if you have something planned.  We are trying our best to track the many events going on around the state but it has been quite a task so please take a moment and email Lois even if you have already reported your activity to another NJDPM member.

Forest Preservation

The US Forest Service has drafted a plan for the management of our remaining roadless wild forests.  While the policy could prevent future road construction, it doesn't stop logging in the pristine and wild areas in our   National Forests.  And the Tongass National Forest in Alaska—the nation's largest—is not protected under the proposal.

If implemented, this plan will allow the destruction of our last wild forests to continue.  But you can help by letting the President and the Forest Service know that you want our unprotected wild forests saved for the future.

The Forest Service is only accepting public comments on its proposal until July 17 - let your voice be heard by sending a free e-postcard from http://www.ourforests.org today!
